Patrick Robbins (DOB: 30 January 1968) is the owner and operator of Son of Earth, Ltd. Studios. He has over a decade of experience as a freelance illustrator and cartoonist. He holds a Bachelor's in Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA and a Masters in Communication from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. He is a trained animator and filmmaker that worked on two animated television specials as well as an animated video for Spanish-speaking audiences. His illustrations have been published three times. He is currently writing and preparing to produce a series of animated movies. He is an active illustrator working in a variety of genres and media, with a specialization in fantasy illustration. He has taught art classes to children and adults at the Hampton Arts Commission, the Ghent School of Fine Arts, and the Fluvanna County, VA Parks and Recreation Department.
Born in Hampton, VA and fiercely proud of his Welsh-Irish heritage, this soccer-crazed artist biggest diversions are collecting Disneyana and Star Wars toys, Disney pin trading, traveling (favorite destinations are Taos, NM and Walt Disney World), kite-flying, reading C. S. Lewis and Tolkien, and watching a good movie (with a preference for Disney). He is an amateur historian, anthropologist, and folklorist, primarily interested in Irish history and culture and Celtic Christianity. A dream vacation for him is to drive the entire length of Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica. His Christian faith figures very prominently in his work, but he would rather think of himself as an entertainer and storyteller not as a preacher. He now resides just outside of Charlottesville, VA with his wife and daughter.
